"I received a free copy of the book in exchange for writing a review on my blog"
I always love to create new things and lately have been interested in building a list of some fun wood projects to do this summer. So when I saw the book, Wood Pallet Wonders by Becky Lamb I was excited to see what I can create and add to my yard and home giving the appearance of a well-handcrafted piece of furniture or object. Plus, with the easy to follow directions and plenty of objects to create, this is going to be a great way for myself to keep my New Years Resolution and do more work outdoors, this spring and summer.
Now the book isn't difficult or complicated, which is a plus for those who are just beginning to use different types of saws, tools, and wood. What else is a big bonus is that the material isn't expensive, and I just love that it's all handmade, which counts more than buying something Also, doing things like creating furniture helps build more DIY skills in my opinion.
So with that said, I really have two I want to try right away. It's all ideas to make for the garden, such as the garden bench and soil bin. I have always enjoyed planing flowers around my home when it gets nice out. Plus, my mom was always into gardening. Therefore, I would love to have a very nice soil bin to hold the dirt and also a bench in my yard, which will look so nice and give me a place to sit while reading a book. Since these projects look quite simple and with each image and direction to follow, I don't feel I should have any trouble.
Plus, it's the same with each project, step by step photos and text to view and read while working on the design. The book is quite helpful and such a great project guide to using wood pallets. I honestly have a few more favorites, like the fishing rod holder, which I could make for my mom and the rustic birdhouse for the family of cardinals that love to visit my bird feeder often, or any other bird that would love to live in it. No matter, the project inside this book, they are super fun, creative and will keep me busy.
