"I received a free copy of the book in exchange for writing a review on my blog"
How to Window Box by Chantal Aida Gordon is quite a small book but packed with incredible box planting ideas that don't take up much space. I just love the variety that is mixed together, which the book helps you achieve a good combination and avoid mixing the wrong plants together. One thing I do enjoy is the helpful guidance most of all! In case I plan to do more box planting, I don't want to put it together in the wrong way and make sure there is enough space for each plant to absorb nutrients from the soil, the water, and grow perfectly.
The book is shaped differently, but it allows for a better viewing of the boxed plants inside. The pages are marked at the beginning of each new plant you can put together. These include herbs, cactuses, and even plants that have similar features or benefits. Plus, what is amazing with these boxed plants are the way they add a bit of art to any room. It's quite a beautiful blend of plants in each combination and just look more attractive verse one single plant, which isn't a problem but when you see more in one pot, I feel it's a gorgeous site!
The colors and plants that go in each box is the right size for any small room. Plus, with the book, there is the information on how to care for each box. The section that one wants to work on for each plant will have the information on if the plant needs sunshine if it's indoors or out and even the soil, ease to take care of and feeding. You basically get every detail of this book, making it easy to know if it's something you can plant and care for before going out and planting them without knowing what they need to survive. Finally, this is a really great book, small but full of different plants and types that can be potted together and enjoyed inside and outdoors.
