"I received a free copy of the book in exchange for writing a review on my blog"
When I started using Instagram, I just fell in love with sharing photos. However, I had no idea what to really post. I started getting ideas from other posts of those who used Instagram for a while, especially other bloggers. Afterwards, I would share all my bought items, found items and many other things I had created. However, It didn't seem to make such a difference in the attention of those using Instagram as many others who posted. I really wanted to build a following of like-minded individuals and had no idea where or what to do to improve, until now!
I was so happy to have a chance to read the book, Styling for Instagram by Leela Cyd. The author not only opened my eyes to what I can be sharing but how to make it get noticed! I always wonder why one item got so many hits and another time with the similar item, using the same hashtags and wording didn't get as much. However, that is all figured out, now that I got a true view and really detailed info on what I need to do to improve all my photos and posts, making them stand out from the crowd. I mean the author isn't just telling the reader what to do, she proves it with her great high following count.
What I've been gaining knowledge on is how to make my posts and photos be more organized, capture the right lighting as a photographer needs when getting a great image of an object and adjusting a few other things to make my images and posts go from ordinary to extraordinary. I think it would have been something I wouldn't think I needed to fix, and would still be lost on how to improve till I read this book.
A few of these magnificent tips and information that can help anyone are things like filing the best-looking images so you can go through them before posting, always start by thinking about the audience you are sharing too, don't just post if your unsure if it's right, and even certain darling photos may seem great at the time, but might not look great when looking over them, so don't post it. I agree with all of these and will definitely have to try to add this to my mind before posting or doing anything. Also, the fun doesn't just stop on just helpful tips before beginning, but you get almost a course in photography but for Instagram. It's going to cover lighting, negative space, simple, whacky, playful, floral and just so much more photo styles you can take. It's got so many helpful ideas on taking a certain type of photo.
I feel that this book is perfect for beginners and those who use Instagram often. Even for anyone who is trying to build their company, build their reputation or just wanting to build a large following, this book will help extremely! Plus, it's so colorful, eye-pleasing and not in anyway boring! I honestly wouldn't put it down because it's not a giant book of boring pages that don't really grab my attention, but instead, it's all exciting knowledge and info that captures my attention and eyes. Finally, this is a terrific book! I really am pleased to have read this and can't wait to get my Instagram booming with followers and perfectly organized photos.
