JavaScript: Optimizing Native JavaScript Designing, Programming, and Debugging Native JavaScript Applications by Robert C. Etheredge

"I received a free sample in exchange for writing a review on my blog"

The book, JavaScript: Optimizing Native JavaScript by Robert C. Etheredge is a wonderful guide for those interested in JavaScript. It goes over the most common information you need to learn and the use of javascript on many browsers. Javascript is one of those that don't need any special program to use. Plus, you will also learn about the addition of HTML5 and CSS3 to make that website or page you want even more dynamic!

I really think this book makes learning JavaScript easy and fun, going through every step and breaking it down so that anyone can understand. It also is more about creating a smaller application and having it run faster. Many books on Javascript is about the normal use of the program and not really creating an efficient design to your pages and sites. However, this informs the reader about Javascript, even if you know it or just began studying about it, you learn how to use it and create applications that run quicker.

I honestly wanted a book just on Javascript, reference to everything. However, the addition of creating a quicker page and site is even nicer and also a great reference reminder with guidance through the abbreviations and different codes that can be used, as well as detailed info on HTML and CSS. Therefore, this book will do just fine! It's perfect for me as a reminder of certain things I can do and help me code better. I really love Javascript and been working with this the most. So the book just adds to my happiness because it really covers things I knew and some I don't. Plus, the reference is valuable coming from an author who has more than 16 years experience with developing applications and others with javascript.

Now, for a few of the lessons taught in this book, would be the use of objects and closures, abbreviations, making sure to not have bugs in your code, performance, using objects or arrays, and many others. So you really learn quite a bit and it's also organized to cover what you need to know and how to use it! Finally, I will be keeping this book and using it often to refer to certain things I forget or want to learn more about! It is a very helpful guide for a beginner and those who have an idea about javascript, as you will and can always learn something new that you never knew could be done with JavaScript, especially creating a faster web application!
