Tattoo Lettering & Banners by Britt Johansson

I just love lettering and script writing! Honestly, I am a huge fan of DIY and crafting, but when it comes to making out cards(homemade) or scrapbooking, I love to use fun and interesting lettering design to make it stand out! It's a craft all its own, just by using words and how you draw them on paper! The book, Tattoo Lettering, and Banners by Britt Johansson is packed with just words a little bit of images that border these words and letters. Plus plenty of ideas, and no long reading but clear visuals to see and try!

I honestly feel more excited to write script words, when looking inside. There is even banners, something that makes the letters or numbers stand out from anything. Even for a tattoo, having a nice border and lettering is very much a beautiful picture to have on one's body. You really don't need an image, when the words can say it all!
Also, I know this is more about tattoos, but just imagine taking these ideas from the book and a regular sheet of computer paper, folding it and adding a few words and an additional banner around it, you now have a beautiful start to a FABULOUS card or letter. Lettering just makes anything look creative and artsy! This is just an example of using the book for more than just tattooing, but if your career is to tattoo the body, then this book is a perfect idea guide and carries a bunch of wonderful ideas to help you improve your art and get you inspired!
However, it really doesn't matter if it's for tattoo artists or regular card designing, but this really is a wonderful idea book and an excellent help. I think even if you are more into a digital design for websites or just sending a note to a friend, try using some new creative fonts like the ones in the book, more cursive or bold, it just catches attention and makes anything exciting to read! Finally, I really enjoyed this book and love the designs inside. It's such a great help and useful from beginning to end! Now, I'm ready to go practice a few new lettering and banner designs!
