Basic Human Anatomy by Roberto Osti & Peter Drake

The book, Basic Human Anatomy by Roberto Osti and Peter Drake is absolutely a gorgeous look into the human form. There are images of the muscles, the bones, the many parts of the body, the inside and outside view. In each drawn illustration are examples of either male or female body parts. What I adore best is that this is a perfect way to learn the body and even how to draw it!

I really want to point out my favorite part is that this doesn't fill you with words but more images. I love that each image is of the actual body shape nothing cartoony or fake. Therefore, you'll be able to draw, paint and in any other artistic way, create the perfect human form. This book actually reminds me of my mom's old art book of the human form. In her book, there is nothing inside that you don't need, but much of what you want to know for drawing the body. In other words, you get more images and helpful guidance to drawing and creating each part, and none of the stuff you really don't need when creating an image of the body. You could even purchase those books designed for doctors and nurses, but if you want a really nice body book with tons of images to draw a good human shape, then this book is one to buy!
Inside, you'll notice the many different ways to draw and design the body, from the perfect head to body ratio to creating the right proportion of the entire body pieces. I mean this will cover so many parts that you'll learn to draw and helpful tips. One, for example, the use of a pencil can be a great way to create the right size body, that tip I'll be using from now on! However, there are plenty of others, which really come in handy. This is absolutely a book I am so glad to own! For me, the body was always a hard thing to draw and this book is giving actual images to view and practice with the guidance inside. Finally, if I ever wanted a true professional book on human body anatomy, this book would be it!
