The Secret Life of the Periodic Table by Dr. Ben Still

The Secret Life of the Periodic Table by Dr. Ben Still is an excellent guide into the periodic table! I remember this in science class, learning about the different symbols and what they stand for.
Also getting to know what they actually are, like for example a gas or a metal. I know that these are used in creating of certain things, well for combining these together and creating new chemicals.
However, what really can be gained from this book is not only understanding the Periodic Table,  also the people who found the 118 elements and many fun facts about each.
Honestly, in my science class, I never knew how the table was put together and who discovered each element. However, this book is filled with that information and some more that normal science classes may not share with you.  A few other things you will be taught about these elements is how they bond together, the melting points, atomic number and weight, radius, destiny and much more! It really also includes some interesting tips and topics besides the sidebar. Plus, something fun for kids or adults trying to understand the elements will enjoy the trivia inside this book. It can be a bit tricky, but you will learn from it and get a bit smarter.

Finally, this is such a great book, very nicely designed, and perfect for the entire family. Especially, children will benefit from the knowledge they will learn and possibly get a head start before the rest of the class if they had this book for science practice and study. Therefore, I highly recommend this to be a very fun read and not your typical teaching book or boring guide.
