Memoir Your Way by The Memoir Roundtable

When I hear the words memoir, I actually think about something to do with a person's life. However, I had no idea what a memoir really was and what it includes. Therefore, when I came upon this book, Memoir Your Way by The Memoir Roundtable I learned a quite bit about creating and understanding what a memoir really is! It's a mix between a piece or slice as they put it, of your life that you want to tell and what you might reflect something you are passionate about or can look back at to remember that special moment and what you learned from it. For example, it could be about the time you found and fell in love or possibly when you made a special quilt with memories from each fabric used. Those are just ideas, but it could just be about anything.

Unlike writing a biography or history of one's life, this is just a piece that you could tell which has memories wrapped around it and what it helped you learn or understand after you finished it.
Quite like a book that teaches another, what you have learned after accomplishing what you've done. That is basically a memoir, memories in a book explaining your accomplishments. So like I mentioned, you can really make as many books on different topics that occurred in your life. It doesn' t have to be a full life story, which isn't a memoir. Plus that would be one huge book to write!

The book is actually even a great guide with chapters that make it easy to figure out which type of memoir you want to make and how to begin them. Since each type might be a little different from a recipe memoir to a scrapbooking memoir. I really found this to be interesting and such an easy guide to help me create one about a few things that happen in my life and what I could have learned from them.
