About Out of Bounds
Out Of Bounds Games was founded by Alexander Birke in 2015 after he had spent a couple of years working in the games industry. He wanted to have a platform for creating interesting games that offer's something novel for players to explore and get excited by. Based at the Bristol Games Hub, Alexander is one of the organizers of the Bristol Unity Meetup and active in the local development scene. He often gives lectures on the Unity game engine and game development at events and conferences. He is also an eager game jam participant. In fact, Laser Disco Defenders started out as an entry for the Ludum Dare game jam in 2014.
Excalibur is the publishing arm of parent company Contact Sales Ltd.
Founded in 2004, in the last couple of years, the company has released its own products in addition to its important licensed products. European Ship Simulator, World Ship Simulator, Better Late Than DEAD, and Counter Terrorism Unit have all been available on Steam as well as boxed retail versions.
Excalibur has worldwide MicrosoftTM Xbox One and Sony publisher status and from May 2016, will publish Circuit Breakers (PC/Mac/PS4), World Ship Simulator (PC/Mac), Space Overlords (PC/PS3/PS4/PS Vita), Perfect Universe (PC/PS4), Counter Terrorism Unit (PC), Jalopy (PC) and Laser Disco Defenders (PC/PS Vita).
Excalibur will also continue to license high-end simulation franchises like Euro Truck Simulator and American Truck Simulator.
