Veganissimo A to Z by Lars Thomsen and Reuben Proctor

The book, Veganissimo A to Z by Lars Thomsen and Reuben Proctor is full of information a Vegan could use to stay away from animal products! I honestly had been Vegan for a year in the past. However, at that time I had to avoid so many different products, but never knew what is or was safe. i asked my mom to send me a printed out sheet of what may be and what ingredients weren't safe. It took a lot of ink and I still have it! Now the point to this is that I wish I had this book at that time!

I really loved it right away once it arrived! Not only does the book, Veganissimo have every ingredient needed to avoid or what I need to understand what they do, but it also is in a convenient and portable short style book design. It's easy to have or take anyplace, comes in alphabetical order and lists all these ingredients that are bad, vegan alternatives and references in parts. For example, if you wanted to read about the certain ingredients worth understanding if Vegan or not such as in food, cosmetics, and so much other items we apply or use, can be found in the first part of the book. There it's all in alphabetical order as is each part of the book. You can search for all the strange words found in food, beauty items, and household cleaners. 
For one example, Japanese Gelatin which you might think bones used to create as many gelatins are made from. However, it's actually a plant made ingredient like agar agar. Also, this is labeled with a symbol of an orange plant which means it's always and often a plant based ingredients. The other symbols can represent an animals head for an animal ingredient, a can like symbol with water drop resembling synthetic, a diamond which is a mineral substance, and last is a science classroom glass beaker that refers to the ingredient as a microbiological product. Plus, orange and black for each, representing if they are 100% use that category or not often. 

For instance, you get an ingredient that refers to natural flavorings, which can be an animal source or vegetable source so you really might not know what your served and that is why they could refer it to a black colored symbol so you know it's not always an animal or a plant ingredient. However, this book is wonderful for Vegans and even Vegetarians or anyone who is curious to know what is in the food. I found it so useful and extremely helpful!
Information About The Authors:
Lars Thomsen is a pioneering animal rights activist and vegan advocate. He has been vegan since the age of 21, in 1990, and lives in Germany.

Reuben Proctor, a vegan for almost 15 years, has done in translation, consulting, and administrative work for vegan companies and animal rights organizations since 2004. He was born in New Zealand and now lives and works in Germany.
