The Absolutely Essential Grammar and Writing Guides by Nancy Atlee

I have here two wonderful books, The Absolutely Essential Writing and Grammar Guide for Kids. These books are perfect for those trying to teach or wanting to learn how to write with the correct grammar. As for children these books are an excellent guide to perfecting the English grammar and writing. Each book is by the author Nancy Atlee. The publisher Prufrock Press is known for publishing really great study guides, worksheets and much more that can be used to help aid students and children of all ages and classes. If you ever need a guide or something to help you understand a english grammar then you should check out these two books that I've reviewed below.

The Absolutely Essential Grammar Guide
by Nancy Atlee
This one book is packed with information that may help your child or even you as a parent or teacher, to help teach the child perfect grammar. Sometimes we forget how to write or even speak correctly. Especially now that we use abbreviations, text and really refer to short sayings to get the message across. Therefore, this book may help remind you of English class and give you that understanding to writing, reading and even speaking correctly. You will learn about Capitalization, Parts of Speech, Punctuation, and even Sentences. Those are the major lessons taught in this book.

I think my major problem has always been, well not understanding different uses of punctuations. A few of them I use often, but when it comes to semicolon or a few that are labeled on the keyboard, I tend to forget how they can be used and what they really do. So to have this book I feel I really am informed with all types of punctuations that can be used and how to use them in a sentence. How this book really helps is the examples of the parts you want to learn are labeled inside. Each given with examples to how they are used and what it would look like. So I feel so much better to know what I'm doing with a few examples to review.

I feel that this book really makes it super easy to understand grammar, especially when it's only about 80+ pages. So It's portable, great refrence to have on hand whenever you need a little remembrance of what each piece does to create a perfect sentence. So for Teachers and Parents, this can help them teach and understand what they need to tell their kids. However, for children this is a great learning guide to get them speaking, writing and reading sentences perfectly!

This book is actually arranged in sections from the essentials of writing to the types of writing you can create. You'll understand how to write fiction, nonfiction, poetry, sentences, essays and even paragraphs. Plus much more! This guide is perfect for those interested to improve their writing skills or want to even learn the basics and understand the different techniques you could use for each type of writing peace. Pefect if you also have to do those testing essays, open ended questions that need you to write about a photo. However, this book has so much info and only is a small thin book. You can take this anyplace and get a little help if you need some reference about any type of piece you need to write.

I love how this book breaks it down into sections and covers each with examples. So it's not only explaining certain information about writing, but it's give you a few different examples that reflect how to use those important writing essentials that everyone should know. For children, this is an excellent guide to have in ones home.
