It's a nice size book, not too heavy but packed with everything that I really wanted to learn about the food I eat. I never knew that fatty acids are really important for more than the absorbing of vitamins, but it can also be good to keep the mood of an individual. That is probably why if you feel sad or down, the best thing to reach for is some source of fat. Also, if you ever wanted to figure to know what would be the outcome of over indulging in one of these foods or drugs, well the book will tell you that too! It would be located under precautions and for fatty acids it would be the result of obesity.
Therefore, this is not a bad book at all! One of the best resources for all health issues that can be healed by the food and products we eat daily. Plus, with all things, this book has the most helpful visual of what would happen if you over indulge or take too much of anything. Finally, this is an excellent 2nd edition book, Encyclopedia of Mind Enhancing Foods, Drugs, and Nutritional Substances. It really fills you in on everything you eat and take, which is perfect for those interested in the healthy industry such as nutritionists, dieticians and much more! Terrific book!
