Birds of Southeast Asia by Morten Strange

The book, A Photographic Guide to the Birds of Southeast Asia by Morten Strange is another great picture guide on Southeast Asia birds. There are over 10,000 living bird species in the world and 3,000 which live in Southeast Asia. So this book gives you a comprehensive guide, covering over 660 species and has over 700 photos to get a glimpse of the bird. You will also
I love that this book actually has all the birds in an organized order. So when you are searching for a certain bird, just look at the table of contents or index and find that certain bird under the main species. There will be a few different types of birds that are categorized under that species, so you can find a specific one listed in that section. For example, Sparrows will have many types with different colors and a little difference in color, but they all belong to the same species just different in appearance and found near a specific location which will be listed by the bird and in a map to point out where. Plus, you get to see how different each one is by the colors and features.

So really, if you are interested in birds, heading to Southeast Asia or maybe just want to learn more about different birds then this might be a great book to buy and learn what type of birds are really out there and ones that aren't found in the US or where ever you may be located. I find it to be a great reference book, which I love the reference that I can learn something new from. Plus, the photos allow me to sketch up or draw up some beautiful bird drawings of realistic birds that aren't normally found in the US. That is because I love art and always find ways to draw some creatures I can't see on a normal basis. However, this is full of wonderful information and beautiful realistic imagery!
