A Handbook of Costume Drawing by Georgia O'Daniel Baker

The book,  A Handbook of Costume Drawing by Georgia O'Daniel Baker and Illustrated by Helen Redel Pullen is created with all different time period photos of different types of clothing and accessories. It's easy to view the black and white images and there are so many different styles and positioning of the people in their clothing.
The book is simple to follow, basically, it's all about the different periods, 3000B.C. to 1969 A.D. and their clothing types. Honestly, this is all I needed! I don't need more information just the ideas of what has been worn during different periods to recreate new fashionable styles or even sew some together. I love that now I have a full visual and it's not difficult to make out, as each piece is large enough and clear to view. The different periods and information about each part of the body can be found inside the book and if you look in the front, you'll find out how to draw the human body perfectly and even get a skeletal view.
Finally, this is a terrific book so simple visuals and easy to read the material. I think it's perfect for what I needed the book to do, design clothing and understand the fashion during those periods of time. So for those interested in the history of fashion or learning to draw classic styles, this is something you should take a look at!
