Icelandic Herbs and Their Medicinal Uses by Anna Rosa Robertsdottir

The book, Icelandic Herbs and Their Medicinal Uses by Anna Rosa Robertsdotti is an excellent guide to some wonderful herbs with healing properties! These plants are found in Iceland, but 85 are found grown in North America. The part I always love in a book on herbs and what benefit they can provide is the wonderful information on harvesting, drying, and even storing the plant. So it's helping you set the plant up for usage. Therefore, if you just picked this book up, it's easy for any beginner to understand how to use and start making herbal infusions, decoctions, tinctures, syrups and so much more with herbs.
I know I might not get to see most of these herbs, but if I'm ever in Iceland or find it in some market, I'd be glad to know that I can find some wonderful uses for them. However, the rest that are grown in North America, in example the Dandelion or Daisy, I can still find sues and learn some wonderful recipes and ways to use them to help heal what needs healing.
Many reasons I love this book is that it's fully illustrated, very beautifully by the way and it's easy to follow and understand everything from harvest to preparing. The guide allows you to create any herb recipe and learn about their benefits inside. Finally, this is an excellent book, perfect for beginners and anyone interested in herbal medicine.
