The Essential Photography Workbook by Stephen Dantzig and Joan Dantzig

The book, The Essential Photography Workbook by Stephen and Joan Dantzig is such a wonderful workbook for people like me, beginners! This book is packed with all the essential information needed to know to produce wonderful photos with any type of Digital DSLR camera. So no matter the brand of camera, this book will cover every little detail to the functions and modes of the camera, what they do and how to use them. Also, the book will give you wonderful results to capturing that specific image you want, with correct lighting and effects.
When I open the book and began to read, I feel as this book allows you to understand the camera and how to use it, before I adventure out and try the assignments. Also, I do want to point out that this workbook really includes assignments. Each one, allows you understand a little bit of information, and than you can go and put what you learned into practice. This makes it a very great guide for a beginner and I love how easily organized the book is to follow through. The beginning explains the DSLR Camera, the gear and accessories, and than you move onto taking or capturing the photo. Almost gives me the feeling of going back to school, photography school!

However, this book might be a little on the light side, not much to read. Though, it's not in any way a bad thing! Instead, this little workbook has all the important details packed inside, that will get you started. So being a beginner myself, this book really covers all the basic information needed to understand about Photography and the use of the DSLR Camera you are using.
Honestly, I always love when a book can teach me something new, which I had no idea about. It actually makes me want to learn more. So to read the Essential Photography Workbook and learn more about my camera and lighting, which I could never understand, its absolutely wonderful! I actually feel comfortable to go out and start taking photos without having to rely on snapping too many photos for that one perfect shot. Plus, the many other things I've been learning from this book is how to get the correct color balance, magnification, and even the use of a flash. However, there are a few more items taught in this book, but those seem to be a few that I always had wondered more about.
Finally, from this beginner to all the other beginners out there, I feel this book gives you a great course into Photography and helps you achieve that perfect shot you want to get, every time. Just take a little time to learn and work through this book and you'll be taking photos like a pro!
