Firefly Encyclopedia of Animals by Dr Philip Whitfield, & Camilla Bedoyere

The book, Firefly Encyclopedia of Animals by Dr. Philip Whitfield and Camilla Bedoyere is a wonderfully illustrated book on all types of animals! I found this to be perfect for kids and adults, who want a little knowledge about the animals that live on our planet! There are so many mentioned in this book, which is what makes it so useful and helpful for all types of school projects, learning about a certain species and maybe even just for drawing one! However, this book will feed your brain with detailed facts about every well known animal on our planet.
While going through the book, I can tell it has each animal broken up into sections. These different sections or groups of animals are placed under the categories like Mammals, Birds, Reptiles, Amphibians, Fish, and Insects. So really that just makes the book so much easier for those who want to search or look up a certain creature inside the book. Therefore, if you had an animal on the mind, but didn't remember the name and yet you know that it was a type
of Fish, than you can just go that section and begin learning about fishes.
I should mention, inside the book you will learn about that certain type of animal. Like the fish, what it is and from there what types are included in the fish category, with their specific facts and features. This is the same with the other categories/groups listed in the book. Now what really will stand out as it has to me, is the lovely realistic photos. The illustrations make the book wonderful for visual learners and you can even use it for some fun art work! However, it's great to be able to view what you're reading about and know it's the right animal by the photo, which there are plenty of them inside this book. Plus, with the photos come the many different facts and types of animals that are similar but have different features and colors. Therefore, you're not going to be reading about a turtle and not understand the different ones there are in the world, as there are many! Same with many other animals on this planet, which is listed in the book.
Finally, this is a wonderful book, fully illustrated and so easy to find what I need or want to learn about inside!
