Web Design with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery Set by Jon Duckett

The book set, Web Design with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery Set by Jon Duckett is a complete guide to building and designing an outstanding web page. The best part of this collection is that you have two books, which focus on creating and building the best site for any occupation or even for just blogging!  I think it's absolutely a great set for learning and teaching a beginner, such as myself to understand programming and working with webpages.
What made me interested in this set, was that each book is very easy to understand and in perfect order, which really does help me take it step by step to begin working on my site.
Now for the first book, which is the HTML and CSS are perfect for creating the basic structure of a webpage. Right away, it starts you off with just understanding how the HTML and CSS are used on every site you may be visiting all over the internet. For part one of the book, you'll understand how HTML allows you to build a certain structure, just like the positioning on a magazine page, which the layout is always different from positioning of the images and text.
There also are plenty of examples that can be followed, which I find it easier to learn about
coding and understand HTML so much easier! Plus, the images are also extremely helpful in this book.
Actually, every step of the book has plenty of step by step guidance to writing a perfect coded page with HTML. So when continuing through the book, the other lessons that would be learn is personalizing the Text such as italics and bold as well as position the words for headers,
paragraphs and much more! Chapter 3 is about creating lists using bullets, numbers and definition. Now chapter 4 is something that can be very helpful for me because it deals with adding links to my pages. This is what really has caught my attention. The way it's explained and shows the examples, which are very useful! There are ways it shows you how to link from one to page to another and with the correct structure. Plus, there are more ways to use links such as allow someone to click the email link to be sent directly to their email program to email you. Also you can create links to send the visitor to a same page linking and even open a link to another page. Really there is so much on linking, that now I can do without researching all day online for help.
Continuing on, the book goes in too great details on including Images, Tables, Forms, Videos and Audio with the use of HTML to your pages. Now when getting to chapter 10, it begins to teach you about about CSS. CSS is the Cascading Style Sheets and that is where the book helps you understand how to use it to create layouts, tables, forms, color, and images to make the page stand out. It's mainly like the creative part of building the page. You get to add a little more design to your writing, allowing it to stand out. Therefore, together the HTML and CSS work together making the most stunning and correctly coded page you can use for a job, blog or anything your working on. Plus, it helps you understand the web a little bit more!
Moving on to Book 2, which is the JavaScript and jQuery. This book allows you to understand programming a little bit more and using JavaScript, which allows you to add in certain problems and get a solution for. Just like they do for math, add in the problem and it gives you the result. However, the main thing is that it will help you understand JavaScript and how to code. This is a bit more tricky for me, but that is why I'm a beginner and the book does do a good job explaining and showing examples to using JavaScript.
Now for the jQuery, this is where you'll learn about the way jQuery helps with adding effects to your page and making it stand out. Plus, the main use for jQuery is to help make Javascript be a bit easier to use on your page. Now  I plan to read more into book 2 as I'm still a bit clueless. However, these books are great guidance and I won't need to rely on researching online for the answer. I really would recommend these books to help you learn, without going to school or searching the internet for the perfect web page you can create yourself!

Finally, it's a great set of books, full of all the information I need and could use to set up my own pages or help create one for another.
Highly Recommend this set!
